Legendary Jewish Australian comedian Austen Tayshus kept a jam-packed audience in stitches for almost two hours when he headlined a side-splitting evening of Yiddish comedy at the Kadimah on October 11th, 2015.
The sold-out show, part of the inaugural Melbourne Jewish Comedy Festival, also featured brilliant performances in Yiddish from Di Emese Balabustes fun Elsternvick - Tomi Kalinski, Sefra & Hinde Ena Burstin, and Joe Tigel and Doodie Ringelblum, who performed a hilarious Dzigan and Szumacher classic.
Jewish comedy in English, sprinkled with Yiddish gems, was also delivered with great aplomb by Melbourne Comedy Festival darling Josh Glanc (pictured above), raconteur and journalist-writer Leon Gettler, stand-up newcomer Sabina Bracka Berman and the MC Raoul Salter.
