The Kadimah is closed due to COVID-19 but our work continues online.  Our online Yiddish classes, shmues, reading and discussion groups are hugely in demand.

And our weekly matone – the free gift of an original public program created by the Kadimah or one of our Cultural Partners – is reaching, and being applauded by, thousands of people all around the world.

When many people have lost their jobs, we are pleased to offer vibrant virtual programs such at the matone at no cost.

We need your support more than ever to sustain the Kadimah now and so we can reopen strongly in the future.

Please be patient – the donation form can take a few seconds to load.  It will appear shortly.

Our Story

Since 1911, Kadimah has been a focal point for cultural and intellectual life in the Jewish community. Having recently reinvented itself as a significant Jewish cultural organisation for the 21st Century, the Kadimah is one of the spearhead organisations working on creating a Jewish Culture Arts Precinct – a place where people of all backgrounds can feel at home.

The Kadimah does not see culture as a peripheral activity – it is essential to a healthy individual and to community wellbeing, and a key element in the creation of a successful multicultural society.
