Melbourne Jewish Food Festival 2024

at Glen Eira Town Hall, Caulfield

Hosted by The Age restaurant critic and renowned food writer Dani Valent, Melbourne Jewish Food Festival 2024 serves up an exciting, jam-packed program of cooking demonstrations and discussions with a range of local Jewish chefs, restauranteurs, providores, food entrepreneurs and media personalities.

The event includes an all-day indoor artisanal food market with stalls featuring food and food products, cooking supplies, a specialist cookbook pop-up shop, homebakers’ cake competition, tasting samples from demonstrations and much more.

Doors open at 9:30am. The main festival program will run 10am-3pm, with the market continuing to operate until 4pm.

Tickets: Entry to the event will be ticketed from 9:30am-2.30pm. Entry after 2.30pm will be free.

MC: Dani Valent

Dani Valent is one of Australia’s most respected food communicators. She is a longtime freelance journalist and restaurant critic, award-winning cookbook author and host of the Dirty Linen food podcast. Dani started her career as a travel writer for Lonely Planet, where she covered destinations including Bulgaria, Corsica, New York, Hong Kong and Broken Hill. She was named a Legend by the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival in 2022 and was honoured for her Outstanding Contribution to Hospitality in the Gourmet Traveller Restaurant Awards 2023. Dani reviews restaurants for The Age, covering everything from food trucks to fine dining, city to outer suburbs.
