Library Volunteers

The Kadimah National Library and Cultural Centre is seeking volunteers who are interested in working in the library. We are currently seeking volunteers who can read Yiddish and have basic computer skills.

You will work as part of a team and take instruction from the Library Coordinator in accordance with Kadimah’s policies and procedures.

Archive Volunteers

The Kadimah National Library and Cultural Centre is seeking volunteers who are interested in working with the organisation’s archives. The archives collection currently includes items such as programs of events, photographs, personal histories of well known Yiddish personalities, sheet music, scripts of plays and audio visual materials. Some of these items are held in digital format. However the majority of items are held as paper records and will need to be digitized in due process.

You will work as part of a team and take instruction from the Library Coordinator in accordancewith Kadimah’s archiving policies and procedures.

Skills required: 

  • Basic Computer skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to read Yiddish an advantage
